The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has unveiled expansionary and accommodative monetary policy stances for FY 2021-22 with the aim of offsetting the adverse impact of coronavirus on the economy along with creating fresh quality employment opportunities in the country.
Pathway Bangladesh, a financial knowledge sharing and professional development aid platform, organized a webinar on Friday, July 30, 2021 to discuss the implications of Fiscal & Monetary Policy on Bangladesh Economy & Capital Market.

Although the capital market in Bangladesh has offered more than fifty percent return in last one year and DSEX index has reached its highest level, the speakers opined that, there is still more room for the market to grow given the outstanding economic performance of the country even amid the pandemic and continuation of the expansionary monetary and fiscal policy measures taken by the central bank to accelerate the economic growth. Among other things, the panel also discussed about the problems and prospects of Mutual Fund industry, impact of current lower interest rate regime on capital market return, Dividend rule, Bond market and other capital market related issues.
Representatives of Pathway Bangladesh, said “We are overwhelmed to get such enthusiastic response from the participants.
